2008 Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival - Call for Artwork

The 2008 Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival seeks an artist or designer to create key artwork to be utilized as the thematic identity for festival marketing and promotion campaigns. The artwork will be used for the festival poster (18x24, 1000 circulated, 11x17, 500 circulated), front cover of the program guide (10,000 circulated), festival advertisements (including local and national publications), postcards (10,000 circulated), festival tickets & passes (audience of 10,000+), invitations, t-shirts, and festival website (13,000 unique visitors in 2007).

DIRECTION
The submission can be a photograph, a drawing, a painting, or a design concept. The artwork concept should have broad appeal to all audiences, as it will be used as the major marketing tool for the 2008 Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival. We strongly suggest the artwork not depict people or images of people. 2008 marks the 13th year of the festival — we welcome ideas that could be related to this milestone/theme (luck, superstitions, etc.) in addition to unique concepts and designs not tied to the year. Three Dollar Bill Cinema retains creative control of the project including, but not limited to, fi nal decisions regarding where, how, and when the artwork will be used and distributed.
